In this course we cover the important areas of food preparation and hygiene in someone’s home.

This course is an e-learning module covering the following topics:

Principles of food hygiene

Facts about food poisoning, including information about different types of bacteria and food contamination

Appropriate temperature control

Effective handwashing technique

Effective cleaning principles and rubbish disposal

Nutrition and dietary requirements, including factors which affect choice and the impact of poor nutrition and dehydration
